Expression visualizations in ERV Navigator are provided for exploratory use only. Values were derived from preprocessed RNA-seq coverage data from recount3 (https://rna.recount.bio/) and summarized across TCGA cancer types (study and sample-type abbreviations: https://gdc.cancer.gov/resources-tcga-users/tcga-code-tables/tcga-study-abbreviations). Due to the repetitive nature of HERVs, these estimates should be interpreted as approximate indicators of transcriptional activity, not as absolute expression measurements of locus-specific HERV expression.
